Arbitration
Geoff provides arbitration services through the American Arbitration Association (AAA), bringing more than 22 years of employment law and workplace dispute experience to benefit all parties in employment arbitrations. His work frequently involves employment discrimination matters, and also includes harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage-and-hour issues, and employment contract disputes.
Given his continued work on behalf of both employers and employees across a wide range of industries, Geoff approaches each case with a practical understanding of the concerns, incentives, and real-world pressures driving both parties.
As an arbitrator, Geoff is committed to a fair process and forward momentum, with a focus on timely, well-supported outcomes. He is known for calm professionalism, efficient case management, and sound judgment, and he runs proceedings with clear expectations, organized preparation, and an even-handed hearing process.
Mediation
Geoff mediates workplace disputes, addressing workplace disconnections that can drive distraction, turnover, litigation risk and more.
Typically, he works in pre-litigation contexts, where the focus is most often on reconciliation, repair and reconnection (instead of separation or settlement). His mediation work involves helping participants engage in difficult, high-stakes conversations in a structured way that supports durable (re)connection and practical next steps, not superficial harmony or temporary peace.
Most often, he uses a framework that is party-centered and emphasizes agency and self-determination, with the mediator supporting all participants in identifying what is happening, why it is happening, who is involved, what impacts are occurring, what options exist, and how the parties will move forward.
Geoff currently provides mediation services directly, not through any agency, and works on hourly, daily, flat-rate and hybrid models.
